Interesting Stuff...

Most of you probably just look at the weather sticker on our fishing report instead of going to The Weather Underground and see what has and is going to happen. Here's some interesting stuff I bumped into tonight while looking at the weather for the next few days (which should be nice). Under the "has happened" category:

Statement as of 11:14 am EST on November 3, 2009

...New Snowfall Records For October In Central And North Central
Montana...

Many areas of the little belts... Highwoods and snowys received four
to five feet of snow in October. Onion Park snotel recorded around
58 inches. The Montana state record for snowfall in October is 61
inches.

... New precipitation records for October...

Millegan 14se 3.56 in 2.44 2006 1984
Neihart area 4.90 4.24 2006 1965

Cascade 20sse recorded 2.46 inches of precipitation. This was the
second highest total of record. The highest is 4.16 inches set in
1975.

... New wind gust record for October...

A location 17 miles west-northwest of Pendroy... along the northern
Rocky Mountain front... recorded a wind gust of 109 mph on October
31. Nearby Choteau recorded a gust to 101 mph. The 109 mph gust
exceeded the previous area peak gust of 106 mph for
October... recorded near Babb on October 17 2003. This is also
greater than the October peak gust at Logan Pass of 106 mph set on
October 14 2008.
